Gwyneth Paltrow has been named the 2008 ambassador for the Key to the Cure campaign with Saks Fifth Avenue. Paltrow will be the sixth Oscar-winning actress to become the ambassador to the program, which has raised over $28 million for cancer institutions.

Fashion is
targeting breast cancer in a whole new way this time: tie dye.
Sass & Bide has lent its
exclusive tie dye tank dress ($170), to Net-A-Porter.com as part of the retailer's third installment of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.
Breast cancer is a topic that hits close to home for Sass & Bide co-founder Heidi Middleton, who was diagnosed with it in February 2007.

October is Breast Cancer Month so what better way to kick off the first of the month than with a site that combines fashion and philanthropy.
Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, founded in 1994, is dedicated to finding
stylish goods whose proceeds aid breast cancer. This organization has become fashion's most successful response to the sickness yet and includes countries like
United States,
United Kingdom,
Australia and many more.

Since 1994, when the initiative was founded, the Council of Fashion Designers of America's charitable interests have been with Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC). To raise awareness and money for its cause, the CFDA
has partnered with Net-a-Porter to begin
selling limited-edition FTBC items created by designers like Ralph Lauren, Rachel Roy, Oscar de la Renta, and Diane von Furstenberg.
Though the items will be sold throughout the year, the first available is a Ralph Lauren FTBC polo shirt, $75, exclusive to Net-a-Porter.
