Celebrity Style: Ellen Page

Ellen Page chose a safe Zac Posen LBD for the Screen Actors Guild Awards but she's been slowly breaking out of her fashion shell since then. First she wore an emerald green Zac Posen and now she fused edgy with girlie at an Oscar luncheon. Stripes aren't new on the scene but I applaud her ability to look put together but still at ease. I also like how she paired open-toe sandals to soften up the look. A couple more red-carpet appearances and she'll be a fashionista to be reckoned with. Her posing skills are a whole other story!

Pardon moi, but aren't stripes so 2006? I know that's what you're thinking, but the truth is stripes are a classic. Stripes can be nautical, punk, preppy, or chic depending on your style preference. I prefer to go nautical and chic, aka, nautical chic! As displayed in this week's Life&Style, stripes are once again plentiful. Just remember: if you've got some junk in the trunk, avoid big, horizontal stripes. Keep it (nautical) chic with small, sweet stripes.
