Cardigan obsession right here — especially J. Crew ones. I know what you're thinking: Cardigans are so prim and proper. Au contraire. They are excellent layering tools and there are more ways to cinch one than simply buttoning (try buttoning in the back or doing an old-school tie knot in the front). You don't want to know how many gray cardigans I have — my go-to for travel and lazy Sundays — so I'm thinking I need some punchy colors for the shorter days and colder nights. Call it cardi therapy. This J.Crew Crystal-button colorblock cardigan ($118) outshines the rest. The "silver honey" color is, in fact, punchy and the crystal buttons deliver my daily does of bling. Take note from SJP and pair this with my purple funky booties.

Last time I checked, it was a Redbook, not Reebok, event, so why the sneakers?

If I were Veronica, I would have kept the piped cardigan and that's about it. I would have selected dark wide-leg jeans, an ivory camisole, and a cool pair of flats (since she clearly wanted to be comfy).

Wendybird33 did a spot-on job channeling Rachel Bilson at the T-Mobile Sidekick 3 party in her not so mellow yellow outfit! She even mastered the actress' red-carpet pose. I love the juxtaposition of the oh-so-current bright yellow of the cropped jacket and its 60s-inspired mod buttons. And the Peter Pan collar is just the icing on the cake - so playful-cum-girly.

Who knew so many peeps would welcome yellow into their lives? Then again, it is one of the happiest colors in the rainbow. A couple months ago we saw trendsetting Kylie Minogue in a super cute yellow jacket and it looks like yellow is carrying over to Spring - not surprisingly. In this week's Life & Style you can see that yellow accessories are all the rage. I already showed you some yellow goods but here's more more more! Then I promise no more yellow...unless, of course, a Sugar devotee like WhiplashGirlchild just can't get enough of yellow either!

Trend Alert: Winter Yellow

Why does Kylie Minogue look so chipper in this picture? Could it be because she is wearing sunny, happy winter yellow? I would not have guessed it was January in gray London by the looks of this picture. I have been noticing quite a few celebs wearing this bright hue - it goes fantastically with black, grey and denim. Need a winter pick me up? Throw on this color for size. Oh, and did you all see my Look Book post where I'm wearing my fave yellow pumps? Part nautical, part pop, this is a great trend to transition into Spring 2007.
