Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey are ready to drop some wisdom in a forthcoming special heading to Netflix. This month, their documentary event "The Light We Carry" will premiere on the streamer in honor of Obama's final tour stop on the tour for her bestselling book.

The former first lady's latest book, which follows 2018's "Becoming," was released on Nov. 15, 2022, selling over 144,000 copies in its first week and debuting at No. 1, per Publishers Weekly. Now, Obama will further unpack it in a candid, wide-ranging discussion with her good friend Winfrey — which, according to Netflix, will include everything from personal family stories about her childhood and her time in the White House to menopause, social issues, and romance.

"The Light We Carry: Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey" will also give viewers a front-row seat to Obama's wisdom about self-confidence, fear, and aging, and offer "practical advice for living in modern times, including the power of a kitchen table full of friends."

In the special's trailer, which Netflix released on April 6, Obama explains that her newest critically acclaimed book "came from people asking for guidance." The conversation is expected to have viewers "explore," "embrace," and "empower" the light we all carry.

The 90-minute Netflix special event premieres on Tuesday, April 25. See the trailer above.
